The Local Area
Robin Hood's Bay is situated on the North Yorkshire Coast, right in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. It is a picturesque fishing village full of history, famous for its smuggling past.
In late March 2026 Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk, which finishes in Robin Hood's Bay, was given National Trail status. The route has had over 5 million pounds spent on it in preparation for the change and it is expected to grow further in popularity. Around 6000 people finished the walk in 2025, many of whom we have met in our little shop when they stop by for a souvenir. We look forward to welcoming lots more walkers, from around the world in 2026 and beyond!
Robin Hood's Bay has a unique rock pool filled beach that is dog friendly all year round! Take a look at this link to see local tide times, so you can plan your visit accordingly!
